Bond connection: Offers 007 Hotel package during Designing 007 Exhibition in Rotterdam
Visited by 007 Travelers: 16th – 17th of January 2015
Rotterdam is the second largest city in The Netherlands, and boasts one of the
world’s biggest ports. Since its inception in 1270 on the banks of the river Rotte,
the city has evolved into an internationally important trading center, often
referred to as a gate to the world. The inner harbor of Rotterdam has a skyline
view which connects the center and the southern part of the city with the new
and almost futuristic harbor area. Mainport is located in Leuvehaven, next to the
historic maritime museum and the asymmetric Erasmus Bridge, designed by
Amsterdam-based architect Ben van Berkel.
007 Travelers recommends this awesome hotel due to its beautiful rooms, great location, friendly personnel, good food and its Bond package. See the introduction and know what else is in this hotel!
Designing 007 Hotel package includes:
- Overnight stay in a City XL
- Live cooking ‘Champagne’breakfast buffet
007 Travelers enjoyed tasty Champagne breakfast when morning sun was rising from the horizon. You could almost imagine birds singing on the terrace outside. But it was January and outside temperature was quite close to zero degrees. Anyway cold and warm meals were perfect and we were ready to start our day.
At Down Under restaurant, chef Sander Jongenotter offers predominantly Australian cuisine, characterized by the melting pot of influences from east to west. There are classic
dishes to be found on the menu alongside Japanese Sashimi and Argentinean
steaks.

Just perfect! |
- A sophisticated cocktail at cocktail bar ‘on The Rocks’
“on The Rocks” is named after the hip, up-and-coming part of Sydney that is beloved by the artistic scene. Barkeepers create refined cocktails like Singapore Sling or a Manhattan. Here you can enjoy fabulous cocktails and delicious bites on the quay terrace, while soaking up the spectacular view over the water.
In the evening we had Martinis in Cocktailbar “on The Rocks”. Shaken not stirred, of course. Cocktails belonged to the hotel package and atmosphere in the bar was very romantic and peaceful. Music in the background was really charming and reminded us from our perfect day in Rotterdam. The city is really nice. Next time we have to visit The Netherlands when tulips are in the fields and butterflies are flying over us. Such a beautiful country!

007 Travelers really liked this bar and its great looks, tasty drinks and friendly personnel.
We had a nice conversation about James Bond with the bartender.

- Designing 007 goodies upon arrival
- Free use of Spa Heaven on the 8th floor including Finnish panoramic sauna, Turkish steam bath, swimming pool and Life Fitness Gym. Sauna is very familiar to Finns like us and that’s why we appreciate having Sauna here also.
The Turkish steam room will increase blood circulation and stimulate sweat glands to encourage healthy and glowing skin. Regenerating facials will leave you feeling good as new and a traditional Hamam-style scrub performed on a heated marble massage table will truly invigorate your body.
This experience is sure to purify the mind and body while providing an indulgent voyage into Eastern bath culture. In addition, a Finnish panorama sauna, showers and a lounge area, for pre and post treatment tranquility, creates a true sanctuary in the midst of an energetic city.

The Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam (De Zwaan /The Swan) The Erasmus Bridge (Dutch: Erasmusbrug) is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge across the Nieuwe Maas, connecting the north and south parts of the city of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The 802-metre-long (2,631 ft) bridge was designed by Ben van Berkel and completed in 1996. The cable-stayed bridge section has a single 139-metre-high (456 ft) asymmetrical white pylon with a prominent horizontal base, earning the bridge its nickname “The Swan”.
