Daniel Craig has co-bought The Horseshoe pub in Clerkenwell, London
October 27, 2026Daniel Craig has announced that he had bought a 250-year-old London pub. He is the new co-owner of Clerkenwell’s Horseshoe pub, joining Soho House founder Nick Jones, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and beer entrepreneur Justin O’Shea.
There are plans for a full refurbishment, an upstairs dining room and a refreshed beer garden, while keeping the character and welcoming atmosphere of a proper neighbourhood pub. According to The Times, you might even spot Craig there on a Friday night. 🙂
Craig’s main criteria for The Horseshoe is that it is not a ‘fancy London pub’, but that it remains accessible to everybody.
Craig says, “As a kid I’d get to go down and talk to the locals, especially at lunchtime, and it was always about the day, what’s going on. It’s an outlet for people to come and talk about stuff, maybe their problems.”
Address of the Clerkenwell pub is 24 Clerkenwell Close, London, United Kingdom
