John Grover, editor of six Bond films dies at 87

John Clifford Grover, started his Bond career as an assistant editor / assembly editor in director Lewis Gilbert‘s 007 movies “The Spy Who Loved Me” (1977) and “Moonraker” (1979). When John Glen was promoted from editor to director, Grover took over as lead editor for the subsequent Bond films “For Your Eyes Only” (1981), “Octopussy” (1983) (as supervising editor), “The Living Daylights” (1987) and “Licence to Kill” (1989).

John Grover’s other editorial work includes films like “Permission to Kill” (1975) (as assistant editor), film starring Timothy Dalton, “Wild Geese” (1978) and “The Sea Wolves” (1980) (as assembly editor), both films starring Roger Moore.
