007 Travelers had an honour to meet Jeremy Bulloch, who’s Bond career started already in 1977, when he appeared in “The Spy Who Loved Me” (1977) as HMS Ranger Crewman.

We had a chance to chat with him in Star Wars event Hoth-Con 2016 in Helsinki, Finland.
Mr. Bulloch told 007 Travelers that producers wanted him to come back to Bond series some years later and he got the part of Smithers, who is Q‘s (Desmond Llewelyn) assistant. Bulloch played the part twice in “For Your Eyes Only” (1981) and in “Octopussy” (1983).

Mr. Bulloch said that he is a huge Bond fan himself and Roger Moore was a wonderful actor to work with and was a true gentleman and funny all the time when they filmed Bond films. He also told us that this was his first time in Finland and he had enjoyed every moment and everyone had been really nice to him and his wife, who was also with him in the event. Mr. Bulloch was really interested to hear that 007 Travelers visits James Bond filming locations around the world and said that he will check our blog. He put his autograph on Star Wars photos, but for us, on 007 photos.

Of course Jeremy Bulloch’s most famous role in films is a role of Boba Fett in Star Wars movies “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back” (1980) and “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi” (1983).

There was a “Questions and Answers” part at the end of event’s day one and Bulloch told that Boba Fett did not die in “Return of the Jedi“, he believes that there will be a Boba Fett movie coming in the future and if George Lucas would ask would he like to play Boba Fett again, he would definitely do it.

During the day, Cosplay competition was also held and someone asked, which character Mr. Bulloch would play in that kind of competition, and he said “Jabba the Hut” or “Princess Leia” and audience laughed to this funny answer.

He also told the audience that he has Boba Fett props at home and his grandchildren are interested in them and he always tells them to be careful with them. He talked a lot about acting and after one question he started to cry and that surprised the audience until he said: “This was acting”. He got us all there!

He is such a great person and we are very happy that we met him!
