Bond movie: You Only Live Twice (1967)
Place and location in the movie: The sky above Japan
Actual place and location: The sky above Torremolinos, Spain
What happens here in the movie: Bond (Sean Connery) flies Little Nellie gyrocopter and fights against SPECTRE helicopters.

Although the aerial battle of “You Only Live Twice” (1967) was mainly shot in Japan, some scenes were also filmed above the skies of Torremolinos, Spain. The reason for that was because the film crew was not allowed to shoot the scenes that included explosives in Japan – where they filmed above the nature reserve area – so some shots of gyrocopter Little Nellie and other helicopters involved, was shot in Spain.
