In Memoriam: Tommy Lane from “Live and Let Die” (1937-2021)

Tommy Lane, known for his role as Adam, villain Kananga‘s (Yaphet Kotto) henchman in Bond movie “Live and Let Die” (1973), has died at the age of 83 on Monday 29th of November 2021 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

Lane’s daughter Kamala has confirmed that he died after a long bout of COPD.

Born as Tommy Lee Jones on 17th of December 1937 in Miami, Lane acted also films such as “Shaft” (1971) with Richard Roundtree and “Shamus” (1973) with Burt Reynolds and he was also a jazz musician, and played trumpet and flugelhorn.

Lane is survived by wife Raquel Bastias-Lane, seven children; a stepson and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
