Earlston J. Cameron, CBE (8 August 1917 – 3 July 2020), known as Earl Cameron, was a Bermuda-born British actor. Along with Cy Grant, he is known as one of the first black actors to break the “colour bar” in the United Kingdom,

With his appearance in 1951’s “Pool of London“, Cameron became one of the first black actors to take up a starring role in a British film after Paul RobesonNina Mae McKinney and Elisabeth Welch in the 1930s.

Cameron appeared also in “Thunderball” (1965) as Bond’s (Sean Connery) Caribbean assistant Pinder. Cameron also acted alongside Sean Connery in “Cuba” (1979) (Wikipedia)
