007 Book location: Seven Mile Bridge / Licence to Kill (1989)
February 11, 2021Bond book: Licence to Kill (1989)
Actual place and location: Seven Mile Bridge, Marathon, USA
What happens here in the book: Bond is going to a wedding of his friend, Felix Leiter, when the coast guard helicopter flies beside them and asks them to stop the car.
“‘What could be more important than your wedding day?’ They were cruising over Seven Mile Bridge, part of the oversea highway that runs for over one hundred miles from Miami right down the Florida Keys to Key West, where Felix Leiter was now stationed with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
In a little over two hours he would be standing next to the beautiful Della in front of the altar of St Paul’s church on Duval Street which was better known for its bars and restaurants than the church.”
John Gardner: “Licence to Kill” (1989)

Awesome pictures I have crossed the Seven Mile Bridge quite a few times. I grew up taking family vacations every year in the Key’s almost before I could walk on islamorada, the third Key.
Glad you both got to see these beautiful chain of Islands right here in Our United States and that Bond, Daniel Craig did too ♥️
Thank you Jane!
It was wonderful to see Seven Mile Bridge and Key West! At the time of “Licence to Kill” Timothy Dalton was James Bond, but probably Mr. Craig has visited there too! We have another 007 Travel story coming up soon. There we have pics and stories from Sugarloaf Key. 🙂
